So in case some didn't notice, you attacked our space.
What really happened....
We attacked Scorched Earth feeling that they could not win a head to head battle with us. There were some blues involved but Aggro fielded over 80% of the pilots and ships involved.
When Scorched attempted to defend on their own, it was a rough go. I think that is fair to say.
When Scorched brought their friends (as anyone in their position would likely do unfortunately) it started to become not a war between Aggression and Scorched.. but a war between others.
In the end, we see that in reality, Scorched Space is really TCF space. We can't fight TCF on our own.. there is no way. If the space wasn't important to TCF, they wouldn't show in the numbers they did. They didn't come to kill our blues.. they didn't come to protect their friends. They came to protect their space. It may say someone else on the sov list but in reality, the only reason Scorched has the space is because TCF allows it.
Having said all that, I figured there would be some cursory help from RA, and TCF and some other help from the other tenants like IF and KW.. but I can honestly say I didn't think TCF would show in that kind of force. Now, I have no idea of the true relationship between TCF and Scorched as far as friendliness goes but I know that when our Titans are lighting DD's.. we do everything possible to keep the friendly casualties limited but wow.. it didn't seem like the TCF Titans really worried about the Scorched ships on the field. To me.. that sends the message that this is their space, they are protecting it and that perhaps the true relationship with Scorched is that they are simply sandbags between TCF and any other interloper.
Anyways.. I'm sure things will continue to be filled with some action. Its a shame that it couldn't have been Aggro v Byrn but I guess we'd both be fooling ourselves if we actually believed that would happen.
It has been fun so far.. and I sincerely hope it doesn't end here.. I have sincerely enjoyed the last week or so fighting Byrn.
TCF owns a few strategicly important systems in the area. Since we live up north, BYRN helps us by keeping the area stable and have even defended one of our systems recently. Not helping BYRN, just wasnt an option.
As for the DD done that killed a few BYRN pilots; Communication lag. Not intended, and certainly not wanted.
